Catherine Girardeau is a San Francisco-based writer and audio producer for museums and the media industry.
She’s the Creative Lead for Earprint LLC, which partners with museums to create unique interpretive multimedia experiences. Previously, she was an Executive Producer at Pushkin Industries, where she is a co-founding producer of Against the Rules, a narrative podcast hosted by bestselling author/journalist Michael Lewis (Moneyball, The Big Short). Her other Pushkin projects include Legacy of Speed, a documentary podcast about sprinting and social justice hosted by Malcolm Gladwell; Where There's a Will: Finding Shakespeare with the Old Globe Theatre; and the science podcast Incubation, about viruses. Her independent work includes Above the Fog, a podcast about walking and spirituality made as podcaster-in-residence at San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral, Viewpoints: Body Language, a media project with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and radio features for PRI, NPR stations and the public radio program Marketplace. She’s worked as a producer for Marketplace, the Stanford Storytelling Project, and museum media company Antenna International. She’s taught podcasting at UC Berkeley. Her essays have been published in Terrain Magazine.
